The Swivel Tie Plate Assembly provides two installation options for the tie strap. You can either bolt the strap with the swivel to the end or slide the strap through the swivel connector and crimp it to fit securely. The Tie Plate attaches to the floor at the wall plate and angles down the side of the rim joist, creating a strong and reliable connection. Fasten it with either 0.131 x 1-½ in. nails or 8 x 1-½ in. screws, ensuring at least 50% of the pre-punched holes in the strap are filled. Each assembly includes all the necessary components for easy installation, including the swivel connector, tie plate, bolt, two washers, and a nyloc nut. The Swivel Tie Plate Assembly is engineered for strength, offering either a 2,000 lb. or 3,150 lb. capacity. Also, you can choose from the 10 gauge zinc swivel strap connector only or the 6 in. x 8 in. tie plate only, available in either 12 gauge zinc or 14 gauge galvanized steel. Select the assembly that best suits your specific needs.

For wind zones II and III, connect two frame brackets with a ½-inch grade 5 bolt and nut; for wind zone I, one frame bracket is sufficient. Attach the swivel connector and strap to the angle frame brackets using ½-inch grade 5 bolts and nuts, then tighten securely.
